Has anyone had any luck setting up the TX wallet on a Raspberry pi? I just got a Pi to use for my staking coins but I'm new to Linux. I'm having trouble setting up a wallet (qt or daemon). I followed the guide on github readme doc but haven't been successful. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm trying to get Transfer going on a ubuntu unix cloud server. But i get the following error when I compile, I remember it being some Boost library error:

While right now TX is getting some good recognition for being a clean pure Dash like coin, with all the basic functions of anonymity coin all working.

Privacy and coin governance and dev funding seems to the point everyone trying to address right now. Good thing TX doesn't have all of that drama yet, and we can see how the discussion play out.

PIVX is getting some extra bump because of their current ZeroCoin integration. I am not too familiar with Zerocoin or Zcash, but it seems like that's where the next privacy technology is heading.

If someone familiar with the Zcash protocal can research if it can be integrated into Transfer, it think it would raise the value of TX as a privacy coin a lot.

With all that said...we still need to see if this on chain dev funding system or off-chain at will funding is better.

Masternode not in list - Masternode does not stay running - by: EasyD

Problem:
Masternodes will stop running 30 minutes to 2 hours after being started.

I've disabled all security programs and firewalls including on my router, so hopefully these can be eliminated as causing problems.

My transfer.conf:

(I have all the current nodes added here)

my masternode.conf contains the appropriate info for my 2 nodes

I'm using Windows and a wireless connection

I have 24 active connections, this number down to about 7-9 when I change listen=1 to listen=0 in my conf file.

Am I missing something here?

Atm it's burst because I like the HDD mining, simple to setup, little resources used other than the HDD itself. Very green. My past fave coins were AMP and STEEM cuz I loved the idea of decentralized social media BUT both coins came apart at the seams.

If you are having slow or no connection you need to put the list of masternodes into your transfer.conf file.

In windows it can be located by typing %appdata% into search. There will be a transfer folder, inside this folder, transfer.conf should be located. If it is not there, create a new transfer.conf text file. Make sure it is named transfer.conf.

On a mac, go to finder and navigate to /Applications/Transfer-Qt.app/Contents/Resources. Not entirely sure about this, so if a Mac user can verify it would be great.

I am actually totally into a coin called Burstcoin. I've been following it for over a year now, and have set up a Burst mining rig. It currently has 192TB of hard drives solomining burstcoin.

When I found out about burst, it was at 20 sats and now its all the way to 150 sats (incase you dont know, 1 satoshi = 0.00000001 bitcoins) I can usually mine about 10000 burst per day.

I've been mining since 2012(I actually CPU mined Bitcoin!!!), so Burst was very welcome to me. It was very exciting to be able to mine with hard drives. That made it possible to scale my mining operation well beyond what I could do with video cards or ASIC due to electricity concerns.

I took some of the profit from burst and invested in the masternode technology, originally just because I wanted to research it, but I found Transfer and here we are.

I am still new to Transfercoin, but the fact that you can run a Transfercoin Masternode from an android device is a game changer. I would love to figure out a way to market TX to people from impovershed areas. I've heard stories of people smuggling bitcoin mining equipment into places where the monetary system is destroyed, and instead of using wheelbarrows filled with money to by bread, instead they are paying with bitcoin.

Now if they could host a Transfercoin masternode on their smartphone instead, they will make more money and use much less resources.

Of course this technology is great for anybody. I could store masternodes on my android device, and it will earn TX just for hosting the network, and all this at an extremely reduced electricity cost.

I would love to hear peoples ideas on how transfercoin can change the world.

There are actually very few Transfercoin available for sale compared to the number of users buying and selling crypto-currency today. Alot of coins are sitting in wallets that havent been touched for years, and we know some have been lost therefore increasing scarcity.

This is very good news for us, because if the price continues to decline, it will be easy to lock up the few remaining coins in masternodes. This will make TX so scarce that even if 10000 people were using it and trading it, the price would skyrocket.

Transfercoin has two great ways of making money. One is staking, and the other is a Masternode. Staking returns 9% on your money every year. If you set up a masternode, the profits are even greater. A masternode is like a miner as it processes transactions and blocks. I am still learning about them, but am very interested. I built a Transfer masternode a few days ago and like magic, it is pumping out 10 to 20 transfer coins per day.
